"Supporting Adults with Care and Compassion" Capital Campaign
What is the purpose of the $4,000,000 “Supporting Adults with Care and Compassion” Campaign?
The purpose of the three-year (2024-2026) capital campaign is to offer the residents of Stanly and surrounding counties the needed and essential services of a full day (Monday-Friday), professionally led adult day health care program. Disbursements will be made for these priorities:
1- $2.5 million to transform a former childcare facility into an up-to-date adult day health care facility. Two separate buildings will be converted into one building to provide adult day health services. Once complete, the building will include a full commercial kitchen, therapeutic kitchen, dining room, living room, activity room, sunroom, health treatment room, exercise room, shower room, beauty shop, laundry, and outdoor sitting and walking areas.
2- $1 million for startup and first year operational needs, including initial costs for licensing, permits, insurance, medical supplies and equipment, utilities, administrative expenses, and training and education for staff and caregivers.
3- $500,000 to establish an endowment to assist hardship participant fee needs as well as for maintenance and repair of the Stanly Adult Care Center, Inc. facility and property.
