Stanly Adult Care Center, Inc. Volunteer Program
Stanly Adult Care Center, Inc. encourages reliable and trustworthy volunteers to join our organization. Striving to turn one-time volunteers into longtime volunteers is our goal. That’s why establishing a sustainable, organized, and engaging volunteer program is one of our top priorities. We will achieve this by setting goals with our volunteers, encouraging them to have fun, tracking their involvement, following up after they help and demonstrating our gratitude.
Goal Setting
Volunteers are asked to perform purposeful tasks and help them visualize their impact through goal setting. We want our volunteers to feel like their presence is necessary and worthwhile. We help volunteers set measurable, attainable goals—both long-term and short-term—so they will feel the difference they’re making firsthand. Short-term goals will motivate volunteers during each individual session (for example, we want to feed X-many people today). Long-term goals will keep volunteers emotionally invested in the results of our mission over an extended period. Forming relationships with our volunteers and building a group of long-term supporters will provide consistent support and belief in our cause. Periodic review of these goals will reveal whether the goals have been met, exceeded, or fell short.
Having Fun
Individuals volunteer because they want to do something for the greater good. We strive to make it an all-around fun and engaging experience.
Managing Volunteers
Volunteers have a huge impact on our organization, and we want to be organized when managing them. By tracking volunteers in a database we are able to have targeted communication to certain groups when sending event reminders, sign-up links, and staying engaged.
Following up
Our volunteers are contacted after each time they assist our organization. This allows us to make sure they are aware of how much we appreciate them, and what they do for our organization. Through follow-up we are also able to gain insight about our volunteers’ experience and learn which areas we can improve going forward.
Appreciation
Volunteer Recognition is a vital part of our program. Acknowledging our volunteers’ efforts is an essential component of our program plan with recognition provided randomly and annually. Volunteers are an invaluable addition to our organization.,
